Here is some general project information that you fans may or may not want to know.
Project OPAL stands for Online Pokemon Adventure Land
Language used: Java with mysql data storage
Programs used: Eclipse, Notepad++, Navicat(for MYSQL), Paint.NET for making the map tiles(although i suck)
Some lingo you may or may not want to know:
Tile - pretty much self explanitory. Each tile is 32x32 pixels, Most basic area of the map
Region - Area of map that consists of 25x25 tiles or 800x800 pixels
Map Chunk(also called 'Chunk') - consists of one region and the 8 around it so that makes 9 regions, which is 75x75 tiles.
Our current map size is 50x50 regions. and believe me.... it's huge lol

My Name is Matt, I live in NJ. i dont care whether people call me Tagal or Matt, I am currently a senior in high school, i will be going to college studying computer science and game programming. Most of my experience in java has been learned through tutorials online though.
